Known as “the return to order” the slogan which as of the 1910’s and as a consequence of the crisis of the historical vanguards, sets off to recover the figurative representation of reality over the solid bases of fine art, without giving up the linguistic freedom conquered. As Jorge López Anaya points out:“[...] many artists lean towards new ways of representing objective reality within figurative art. This return to order in the plastic composition meant nostalgia and anachronism to many artists, for others, it was an active and critical recovery of history. The return to the figure and the object took place, not only from quotes of the past but also from poetry stemming from Purism, from magic Realism and the Italian Scuola Metafisica [...]”. Cfr. J.
