I am 30 years old and live in Thua Thien Hue. Because my job at home has low wages and many expenses to pay, I thought about exporting labor to a foreign country to earn more capital to increase my family's income. And the recruitment announcements on the review group to work in Cambodia with high-paying light jobs attract many people, including me. As for the real story of being defrauded and detained in Cambodia, please read this entire article I shared.
I want to share a tragic experience about being tricked into working in Cambodia. Through that, I hope that what I experienced can help others avoid these labor traps. Like many other labor exporters, I contacted a recruitment company working in Cambodia on social networks.
These people often seduce and entice people through review groups to work in Cambodia with the criteria of "light work with high salary". Most of the requirements do not require work experience, including no university degree or related certificate. You just need to know how to use a computer to become an employee of the company with a salary of 20 - 50 million VND/month, not including attractive commissions.
Review of working in Cambodia - The reality of workers falling into scam traps
I was also promised that I would not have to pay any other fees, the visa would be taken care of entirely by the company. I even received an advance payment from the company to prepare for going to work abroad.
To get to Cambodia, they took me and other victims to Ho Chi Minh City, then went down to An Giang before illegally crossing the border by river and sea. This is a dangerous and illegal journey. I have witnessed many other Vietnamese people with me in similar situations.
Initially, the staff in the review group working in Cambodia promised me an attractive salary of 1,000 USD/month. However, after arriving in Cambodia and starting to work, I quickly realized I had fallen into a scary trap. Here, management is not only dictatorial but also brutal. Anyone who opposes or disobeys them faces harsh punishments, including being beaten and sold to other companies like an animal.
After experiencing this disgusting work period, I decided to return to Vietnam. But it was scary when bad people asked me to pay a large amount of money, up to 2,000 USD, to return to my country. I found myself trapped in a terrifying cycle of scammers.
A sister named Hoang Thi H., whose younger brother once went to Cambodia to work and then returned, told about the horrifying journey her younger brother had to go through. Her younger brother also spent two days traveling by sea and experienced many difficulties.
The first day is a day for rest, then they are forced to work in companies full of pressure and danger, in the same situation as many other Vietnamese people. Their job is to create virtual accounts to scam customers. Those who failed to achieve their goals faced cruel punishment, being beaten or sold elsewhere.
In their review of working in Cambodia, they recruited consultants in the field of online entertainment games. Initially, I believed that working as a client consultant in the gaming industry in Cambodia would help me earn a high salary and without any costs.
Real job when falling into a 'ghost' company in Cambodia
Because everything, from plane tickets to travel expenses, was paid for by this group of suspicious people, I went to work. However, I quickly realized that it was all a dark and brutal picture of fraud.
When sold, ghost companies create fraudulent software applications, and these victims are forced to perform "tasks" requested by the boss. A group consists of many people, each with a specific task. Someone has to find and scam customers, while someone else takes care of them and keeps them engaged.
Any negligence or failure to perform duties, even disclosure of information that destroys customer trust, faces terrible penalties. Labor victims were beaten and even electrocuted. In this dark working environment, I witnessed many people suffering from the cruelty and coldness of their Chinese bosses.
These bosses create fraudulent software applications, especially fake software such as stock investment, Shopee, Lazada sales software, fake banking applications and money lending applications. . They asked the victims sold into the company to do all kinds of tricks to defraud unsuspecting Vietnamese people. I and some Vietnamese people had to find a way for nearly a year to escape this 'ghost' company.
After escaping from the 'ghost' company, I was introduced to a job here by a friend who was working at OKVIP with a high salary and no signs of fraud. At first I was worried because going through it once was a bit scary. However, many people I met working at OKVIP said that this place is reputable, allows them to visit relatives at any time, and there is no beating.
Review of working in Cambodia at OKVIP company
After more than a month of hesitation and thinking, I decided to apply for a trial job and when I came here, I realized the truth and decided to review and work in Cambodia. Not all companies in Cambodia are scammers. At OKVIP, there are many Vietnamese people in Cambodia working and also receiving many fair and transparent benefits. Things I see at OKVIP are:
Starting to work at liên minh OKVIP, I was signed with a fairly high salary of 50 million VND/month for the position of SEO. Not only are you provided with working equipment, but you also receive the correct monthly salary as signed. Not only that, when exceeding the target, you will also receive an extremely attractive bonus. Thanks to that, I was able to send money home after many years of wandering.
The company also has many regulations that require employees to follow. However, strict regulations are not about detaining employees. My colleagues and I are free to work our way but must not violate some rules related to the use of banned substances or ethical issues. Anyone who violates will still receive a fine, but if they do well, they will be rewarded immediately. This is what I found best compared to the previous scam company.
True to the introduction when recruiting, employees are also supported with monthly living expenses, free dormitory accommodation, transportation is also provided,...
There is no such thing as the company detaining or exploiting labor, employees will be free to register for the day off they want regardless of the day of the week. In particular, if you need to return home, you can easily ask for leave to visit relatives. Since working at OKVIP, I have improved financially, helping my family ease many difficulties. Therefore, not all companies in Cambodia are scams.
Above is all the review information about working in Cambodia that I want to share with everyone. Going to work abroad to earn extra income is not a bad thing, but depending on whether you choose a reputable company to work for, it will be safe for you and your family. If you have any problems, you can contact the Vietnamese embassy in Cambodia for support.
