Along with Berni, Noé, de la Vega, Benedit, Grippo, Distéfano, Suárez, Elía, Schvartz and the phographers Adriana Lestido and Marcos López, he is chosen to represent Argentine art at the exhibition Otro mirar (“Another Look”), organised by the Departamento de Cultura de la Generalitat de Catalunya, at the Centro D’Art Santa Mónica, in Barcelona. He shows Monstrance, Whip and Untitled (original), two big polyester pieces belonging to the Museo Sívori, and Grill I and Wires. In an interview featured in the catalogue, Gómez declares:
I like to disconcert the viewer, to move him, to make him experience emotion, draw him in, involve him (...) We must teach to see, to smile, we must strive to make what we do more or less approachable for everyone: we are always explaining to ourselves what art is. I think I don’t fully know, I’m always explaining it to myself, I try to find an explanation.
