He participated in the VI Salón de Otoño de Rosario showing Alrededores del pueblo, Tarde serena and En la sierra. His first individual exhibition in Buenos Aires took place at Salón Witcomb, during the month of November. He presented there twenty seven works among landscapes, four of the sierras of Alta Gracia, in Córdoba, and paintings of animals. The critic José León Pagano published in the daily La Nación a column where he said, “… there is in Antonio Berni a painter of a retina sensitive to the effects of light and atmosphere”, to conclude, after some observations due to the short age of the artist, that “It is not hazardous to predict a fine future to whom, like this boy-painter, has such luminous chromatic visions as those of ‘Las cabritas' and places such sentiment in landscapes like ‘Tarde serena'”.
