As a commemoration of the birth of Antonio Berni (1905-1981) we offer a broad panorama of his life and his production. Through a thematic study, a chronology and several reproductions and documentary images, we travel across the work of this remarkable creator, one of the most outstanding artists in Argentina and Latin America.

In Juanito Laguna va a la ciudad the assembled elements attain a great prominence, as with the plate storm clouds, announcing the imminent independence of the parietal support. Juanito’s march looks hunted by the presence of two strange beasts camouflaged in the garbage and that foretell the appearing of the Monsters.
He took part in numerous collective exhibitions and realized several individual ones. Among the latter, he presented in Galerie du Passeur, Paris, Antonio Berni et les aventures de Ramona Montiel, prefaced by Michel Ragon.
