his first individual show in Buenos Aires. He took part in the Rosario edition of the Nuevo Salón organized by Alfredo Guttero. In July he presented twenty one works in three rooms of the Museo Municipal de Bellas Artes de Rosario, one of which works, Paisaje, was bought by the Comisión de Bellas Artes for that museum. After a short stay in Argentina Berni went back to France through a fellowship granted by the government of the province of Santa Fe.
He married Paule Cazenave, a sculptor, disciple of Antoine Bourdelle, and colaborator of socialist writer Henri Barbusse. They spent their honeymoon in Algeria.
