As a commemoration of the birth of Antonio Berni (1905-1981) we offer a broad panorama of his life and his production. Through a thematic study, a chronology and several reproductions and documentary images, we travel across the work of this remarkable creator, one of the most outstanding artists in Argentina and Latin America.

He participated in the XXIX Salón Nacional, where he sent La pregunta. Together with Spilimbergo he performed Agricultura y ganadería, one of the panels to decorate the Argentine Pavilion at the International Expositions of New York and San Francisco.
In December took place in Amigos del Arte the exhibition of illustration originals for books of Editorial Sudamericana’s Children Library. Berni presented his illustrations for Historia del General San Martín by Julio Rinaldini. Those of Juan Antonio Ballester Peña for El niño Dios written by Leopoldo Marechal, of Horacio Butler for Geografía argentina with texts by María Rosa Oliver and of Toño Salazar for Alí Babá y los cuarenta ladrones were exhibited too.
An interview by Carlos Linares for Cine Argentino evidences Berni’s interest for this art. He comments on his unsuccessful project to create a film production company. He published "El realismo en la joven pintura francesa" in the magazine Sintonía.
