As a commemoration of the birth of Antonio Berni (1905-1981) we offer a broad panorama of his life and his production. Through a thematic study, a chronology and several reproductions and documentary images, we travel across the work of this remarkable creator, one of the most outstanding artists in Argentina and Latin America.

He traveled through Italy. In Paris, where he spent a period, Berni delivered the lecture “Una manifestación argentina en arte mural” at the Athénée Hispaniste in Sorbonne. He also took part in the Primera Exposición de Artistas Latinoamericanos at the Maison de L'Amérique Latine.
The history of art legitimated again the treatment of contemporary reality: El obrero muerto was inspired in Andrea Mantegna’s Christ, remarkable because of its violent foreshortening.
He took part in Argentina's XXXIX Salón Nacional presenting La criolla.
