After nearly five months working in New York, in an ample studio at the 12th floor of Chelsea Hotel, Berni presented The magic of everyday life at the see Galería Bonino had in this city. In the works making the exhibition you could notice the influence of realisms developed throughout the decade, of which Berni made use to render another version of his critical reflection, as exemplified by Day off, One more butt, Noon time, Chelsea Hotel, The letter or Wedding Cake.
Together with Carlos Alonso, Jorge Álvaro, Carlos Arnaiz, Oscar Bony, Mildred Burton, Hugo De Marziani, Ricardo Garabito, Héctor Giuffre, Pedro Pont Vergés, Hugo Sbernini and Antonio Seguí he joined Los realismos en la Argentina, a show organized at the Fundación Banco de Crédito Rural Argentino de Buenos Aires, where he sent Los Maniquíes vivientes.
