At Galería del Mar, in Mar del Plata, he displayed paintings and collages from 1945 to 1973, presenting the final version of Domingo en la chacra of 1945. By that time the artist wrote:
“Domingo en la chacra”, a work measuring 200 x 400 cm, begun 25 years ago, partly unfinished, was cast aside in my atelier. I show it now in public with recent retouches to provide the necessary guiding line to understand the present collages with the subject of Juanito Laguna. Pieces of junk, remainders, old packing cases, empty cans, plates in disuse are the environment where Juanito Laguna integrates and is prisoner; between the picture’s subject and the materials there exists a direct relation, so direct as the lace edgings, the flashy nylon and the fake stones in the sophisticated world of Ramona, my other character, scarcely outlined here in some engravings.”
“[…] to conclude I want to emphasize that the line of force throughout my run has been the subject matter, and according to it all the formal and chromatic changes have
