Xul Solar and Emilio Pettoruti return from Europe. Pettoruti holds an exhibition at Galería Witcomb with futurist and cubist works that provokes scandal within Buenos Aires artistic circles. The magazine Martín Fierro, that is first published that year, supports and encourages these new artistic expressions.
The Asociación Amigos del Arte is founded at 940 Florida Street. Its purpose is to help painters, sculptors, musicians and writers to disseminate their works and promote a circle of art appreciators. Van Riel art gallery is also opened on Florida Street.
Lucio Fontana, back from Italy since 1922, shares a studio in Rosario with his friend the painter Julio Vanzo. This place becomes a meeting point for artists with innovative ideas.
