The dossier on Juan Carlos Distéfano spans from the time of his beginnings
as a painter to his recent works as a sculptor, a first for the CVAA. It covers
over forty years of his work and his commitment to art and reality. A special section offers a view on his work as a graphic designer, which he carried out mostly at the Di Tella Institute.

He abandons graphic design and he devotes himself to plastic art, exclusively.
His drawings –The Mute (1972)– as well as another 29 Argentine artists’ are chosen by Roy Slade, Director of the Corcoran Gallery of Washington, to take part in the show Modern Argentine Drawing, held in that institution and which then goes to museums in Boston and Chicago, among other cities in the US. Apart from Distéfano, it is worth mentioning the participation of Roberto Aizenberg, Jorge Álvaro, Líbero Badii, Luis Fernando Benedit, Miguel Ángel Bengoechea, Remo Bianchedi, Mildred Burton, Ernesto Deira, Jorge de la Vega, Armando Donnini, Fermín Eguía, Raquel Forner, Oski, Hugo Sbernini, Antonio Seguí, Clorindo Testa, Miguel Ángel Vidal, among others.
Between 27 October and 16 November, with prologue by Osvaldo Svanascini, he exhibits sculptures and drawings at the Artemúltiple gallery with great success in terms of audience, critics and sales. Some media outlets review the show as one
