We are about to venture into the fascinating world of the famed La Boca artists. This dossier reviews the gravitations of the modernization process of Argentine art throughout the last one hundred years, and the role that its growing cultural institutions played along the way. This investigative work has been authored by Florencia Battiti, and assisted by Cintia Mezza.

The first issue of La Fragua appears on July 1, an important cultural newspaper of La Boca. Among its staff we can find the poet Antonio Porchia, José León Lacámera, Antonio J. Bucich, Vicente Vento, Fortunato Lacámera and Victorica. Twelve issues are published.
Among the founding members of II Republic of La Boca we can find, Juan de Dios Filiberto and Quinquela Martín, the latter commissioned as the Great Admiral of land and sea. Among the long list of authorities in this new republic, we can find the sculptors Roberto Capurro and Riganelli and the painter Victorica. The third and last Republic of La Boca will be declared on September, 1986.
