We are about to venture into the fascinating world of the famed La Boca artists. This dossier reviews the gravitations of the modernization process of Argentine art throughout the last one hundred years, and the role that its growing cultural institutions played along the way. This investigative work has been authored by Florencia Battiti, and assisted by Cintia Mezza.

Quinquela en su atelier flotante
 
The monument to Leandro N. Alem is inaugurated, made by the sculptor Pedro Zonza Briano.
On August 6 appears Ideas, the first independent Boquense newspaper directed by Antonio J. Bucich and José Enrique Molinari. Its last issue would be published on May 20, 1928.
President Alvear greets the Prince of Wales upon his visit to Argentina, with a painting from Quinquela Martín.
Between July and September the edition of Azul magazine re-appears: “illustrated, literary, socialist and full of news”. It manages to print 12 issues under the direction of Santiago Sturla, Pablo Barbero and Bartolomé Buzzio.
