We are about to venture into the fascinating world of the famed La Boca artists. This dossier reviews the gravitations of the modernization process of Argentine art throughout the last one hundred years, and the role that its growing cultural institutions played along the way. This investigative work has been authored by Florencia Battiti, and assisted by Cintia Mezza.

During the month of October, the first issue of El Ateneo is published, under the wings of the Ateneo Popular de La Boca newspaper. It focuses on art critiques and literature.
Between May 25 and June 10, the “Second Exhibit of Paintings and Sculptors” takes place, organized by the Ateneo Popular de La Boca at the Salón de la Sociedad Unión de la Boca. 57 artists participate with 185 pieces, among them Guttero, Víctor Pissarro, Cunsolo, Raquel Forner, Del Prete, Juan B. Tapia, Victorica, Lacámera, Xul Solar, Héctor Basaldúa and Diomede.
Encouraged by Guttero, Víctor Cunsolo exhibits at the Amigos del Arte.
