With the participation, among others, of Benito Quinquela Martín, José Fioravanti, Américo Panozzi and the Peruvian, José Sabogal, the “Salón de Independientes. Sin Jurados y sin Premios” (Salón Costa) is held “without panels and prizes" and is organised by the Artistas del Pueblo and Santiago Stagnaro. The previous year, this group formed the Sociedad Nacional de Artistas, Pintores y Escultores with the view to becoming a union.
Quinquela opens his first individual exhibition in Galería Witcomb.
Victorica returns from Europe and settles in the district of La Boca.
