Amigos del Arte shows the work that Juan Del Prete had done in Paris. It is the first exhibition of abstract painting and collages in Argentina. The following year Del Prete, in the same institution, exhibits the first examples of abstract sculptures.
David Alfaro Siqueiros visits Argentina and, together with the Equipo Polígrafo (Berni, Juan Carlos Castagnino, Lino Enea Spilimbergo and Enrique Lázaro), paints Ejercicio Plástico, a mural in the villa of Natalio Botana, director of Crítica newspaper.
