This page offers a panorama of Argentine visual art during the 20 th Century. Juan Batlle Planas opens his first solo exhibition with 39 collages at the Teatro del Pueblo.
Linked to Surrealism, the Grupo Orion carries out its first exhibition in November at the Sociedad Argentina de Artistas Plásticos. The group includes the painters Luis Barragán, Leopoldo Presas, Orlando Pierri, Vicente Forte, Juan Fuentes, Ideal Sánchez, Bruno Venier and the writer and critic Ernesto B. Rodríguez. The following year, the group exhibits again at Amigos del Arte.
After completing his training in Italy and having ventured into abstract sculpture, Fontana returns to Rosario, sharing his studio with Vanzo, and remaining in the country until 1946.
