This page offers a panorama of Argentine visual art during the 20 th Century. Due to disagreements, Raúl Lozza separates form the Concrete-Invention Art Association and creates Perceptism with his brother Rembrandt and art critic, Abraham Haber.
Fontana publishes the I Manifesto of Spacialism in Milan, along with Kaisserlian, Joppolo and Milena Milani.
Sesostris Vitullo holds his first solo exhibition at Jean Bucher Gallery in Paris.
Pettoruti is dismissed from his position as director of the Museo de Bellas Artes de La Plata.
In 1949, Oscar Ivanissevich, Minister of Education, inaugurates the Salón Nacional with a speech that rules out modern trends such as Cubism, Fauvism, Surrealism and Abstraction, labelling them "abnormal" and "ghoulish".
