1972
Víctor Grippo together with Jorge Gamarra produces the Construcción de un horno popular para hacer pan (Construction of a public bread oven) in Plaza Roberto Arlt. The action takes place following three stages: (a) construction of the oven, (b) baking of the bread and (c) distribution of the bread. The clay oven in the middle of the city and the distribution of bread to passers-by are the conceptual axes of the work.
This group exhibition entitled Arte e ideología, which also involves Benedit, Carlos Ginzburg, Luis Pazos, Julio Teich, Marotta, Elda Cerrato, Osvaldo Romberg and Jorge Glusberg, ends with the event being closed and a request being filed to have the artists arrested by the police.
