Romero Brest takes over as director of the Centro de Artes Visuales at the Torcuato Di Tella Institute, accompanied by Samuel Paz as assistant director. The CAV, created in 1960, opens its premises on 936 Florida Street in 1963.
Gato/63, an experimental exhibition, opens at Galería Lirolay. The show includes Kemble, Wells, Carlos Alonso, Chab, Demirjián, Jorge López Anaya and Benedit. Along the same lines, Pintura Espejismo is held, including Barilari, Kemble, López Anaya, Macció, Polesello and Seguí.
Alberto Heredia shows his Cajas de Camembert at Galería Lirolay. The catalogue carries a prologue by Aldo Pellegrini.
The French Embassy initiates the Braque Prize for young local artists.
