This page offers a panorama of Argentine visual art during the 20 th Century. It comprises a brief overview across the period through twelve paradigmatic works, a chronology which shows the main artistic events of the period and a scheme presenting the various groups and trends supported by illustrations.

Rubén Santantonín and Marta Minujín present the multisensorial work called La Menesunda at the Instituto Di Tella, involving active audience participation.
Dalila Puzzovio, Carlos Squirru and Edgardo Giménez exhibit their advertising poster ¿Por qué son tan geniales? at the corner of Viamonte and Florida Streets and set up their Microsucesos in the La Recova Theater.
The Museo de Arte Moderno holds the exhibition Noé + experiencias colectivas, in which the artist invites his colleagues to interfere with and to break the unity of his work. Aizenberg, Barilari, Deira, Maza, de la Vega, Carreira and Wells are among those who participate. On that occasion, the book Antiestética, written by Noé and published by Galería Van Riel, appears.
