Distéfano takes part in the exhibition No a la tortura. No a la impunidad (No to torture. No to impunity)
A reproduction of his work Direct Action II appears in a German newspaper, in a review of a series of exhibitions called Versiones del Sur (views of the South) – of which Heterotopías was one – at the Museo Reina Sofía, Palacio Velázquez and Palacio de Cristal, all in Madrid. 
Between 21 June and 7 July, he takes part in the exhibition No a la tortura, No a la impunidad (No to torture, no to impunity), organized by the Equipo de Trabajo e Investigación Psicosocial (EATIP, Psychosocial research and work team) at the Centro Cultural Recoleta, to commemorate the international day in support of torture victims.
The painting Personage (1964), part of the Fundación Konex collection, is exhibited with the rest of that collection at the Shangai Art Museum, in a show entitled Del Río de La Plata al Yang Tse. Colección Fundación Konex (From the River Plate to the Yang Tse. Konex Foundation Collection), which opens in the Chinese city in September.
