The dossier on Juan Carlos Distéfano spans from the time of his beginnings
as a painter to his recent works as a sculptor, a first for the CVAA. It covers
over forty years of his work and his commitment to art and reality. A special section offers a view on his work as a graphic designer, which he carried out mostly at the Di Tella Institute.

Prueban una vacuna local contra el cancer
Photograph accompanying the article "Prueban una vacuna local contra el cancer" in La Nación, Buenos Aires, Tuesday 19 February 2008, p. 12

In February, the newspaper La Nación runs a cover story about a national campaign against cancer. On the inside pages, where the article continues, it is illustrated by a photograph of the sculpture The Little Truck from Dock Sud. The photo focuses on the Reaper cutting a man’s head. The work belongs to Dr. Hugo Sigman, the owner of the Elea laboratory – one of the institutes that funds the development of a vaccine against cancer – who can be seen standing next to other researchers who work in the Project.
In May the work The Struggle turn up in one of the Banco Ciudad auctions; it had been acquired by the Banco de Boston in 1970, and had not been seen for a long time. The piece is shown by several graphic media on this occasion.
The black-resin version of Procedure is exhibited alongside the Costantini collection at the Malba, on loan from another private collection.
Between 3 and 27 July, the exhibition called La gráfica en el Di Tella (Artwork at the Di Tella institute) runs at the Centro Cultural
